    GOP? Really? There is sooooo much “double speak” coming from both sides that neither side knows what they are truly saying. So I don’t think this is a GOP issue.

      Yes, really, absolutely. I will cede, as usual, that this is evident on both sides of the aisle, in far greater frequency than it should be. But it is far more prevelant – nay, rampant – on the right than it is on the left, is invoked far more shamelessly, and with more regularity – in some cases reflexively. For one of many examples, see the posted video. There is nothing wrong, of course, with using colorful language or persuasive rhetoric in making a point to your constituents, but to use purposefully vague and misleading language to intentionally misrepresent your position and deceive the American people is, among other things, gravel dishonest. And the Republicans have a far greater and more consistent track record of this – cough, Bush/Cheney, cough – in both the present and the past.

    Yes, I also agree. However I believe, that BOTH sides use these deceptive and vague wording techniques. This is not a new phenomenon (Bush/Cheney). Obama’s speeches are full of this stuff.
